Job Title: Part-Time Librarian in Roskilde



We are seeking a part-time librarian to join our team at the Roskilde Public Library. As a librarian, you will be responsible for assisting library patrons with finding and accessing materials, answering reference questions, and managing library resources.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to library patrons
- Assist patrons with locating and accessing materials, both physical and digital
- Answer reference questions and provide research assistance
- Process new library materials and maintain accurate records of collections
- Manage circulation services, including checking in/out materials and collecting fines/fees
- Assist with planning and implementing library events and programs
- Maintain a clean and organized library space
- Keep up-to-date with current trends in library services and technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a library setting is a plus
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work well with diverse populations
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with technology, including digital databases, e-books, and social media platforms
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Working Hours & Compensation:
This is a part-time position with an hourly rate of 1500$. The schedule will include some evenings and weekends. Accommodation may be provided for the right candidate. Visa sponsorship may also be available for non-EU citizens.
