Moderator for Online Community in Almada


We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Moderator to join our growing online community in Almada. As a Moderator, you will be responsible for ensuring a positive and engaging atmosphere within our online platform. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1500$ per month, with the added benefit of accommodation provided.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain the online community forums, ensuring all content posted is appropriate and follows community guidelines
- Engage with members by responding to comments, addressing concerns, and fostering discussions
- Create new content such as polls, contests, and discussions to keep the community active and engaged
- Collaborate with other moderators to develop strategies for increasing member engagement and retention
- Identify potential issues or conflicts within the community and take appropriate action to resolve them
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure the community remains relevant and up-to-date

Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year experience moderating an online community or social media platform
- Excellent communication skills in English (Portuguese language skills are a plus)
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and their features (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Proactive mindset with the ability to identify potential issues before they arise
- Knowledge of Almada's local culture and interests preferred
