Cashier for Retail Store in Eldoret, Kenya


We are hiring a Cashier to join our retail store team in Eldoret, Kenya. As a Cashier, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth transactions at the checkout counter. Your main responsibilities will include processing payments, handling returns and exchanges, and maintaining accurate transaction records. The ideal candidate should have previous cashier experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1100$, open to Filipino nationals with or without previous work experience. Own visa holders preferred.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide friendly and efficient service at the checkout counter
- Process payments accurately using cash registers or POS systems
- Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds following store policies
- Maintain accurate transaction records and balance cash registers at the end of each shift
- Ensure that the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times
- Assist customers with any inquiries or concerns they may have regarding products or services
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies while performing job duties

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position with 6 working days per week (including weekends). Shifts may vary depending on business needs. The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, with standing required for extended periods of time.
