Caregiver for Elderly in Svalbard


As a caregiver for elderly individuals in Svalbard, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and personalized care to our clients. Your primary duties will include assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation, as well as providing companionship and support. This role requires patience, empathy, and strong communication skills to build trusting relationships with our clients.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in caregiving
- Ability to work without accommodation in Svalbard
- Valid visa and ticket provided by the employer
- Fluent in English (knowledge of other languages is a plus)
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting and assisting with mobility
- Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures

Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily tasks such as dressing, bathing, grooming, and toileting
- Prepare meals according to dietary restrictions and assist with feeding if necessary
- Provide companionship and engage in activities with clients to promote socialization and mental stimulation
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedule
- Monitor clients' health status and report any concerns or changes to the appropriate medical professionals
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients at all times
- Accompany clients on outings or appointments as needed
- Communicate effectively with family members or other caregivers regarding client's progress or any issues that may arise

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1100 per month for this full-time position. In addition, we provide free accommodation, visa sponsorship, and round-trip airfare.
