Fitter - Svalbard



As a Fitter in Svalbard, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment. Your role will involve working with various tools and machines to fabricate, repair, and modify parts to meet specific requirements. You will need to have prior experience in the field and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain mechanical systems and equipment
- Use hand tools, power tools, and machines to shape metal parts
- Repair or replace damaged or worn parts using welding or brazing techniques
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Fitter or in a similar role
- Knowledge of mechanical principles and ability to read technical drawings
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects as needed

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1300 per month.

Location:
This is a full-time job based in Svalbard. Accommodation will be provided.
