Part-Time Executive Chef in Odense, Denmark
We are searching for a creative and skilled Executive Chef to join our team in Odense, Denmark on a part-time basis. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring the overall efficiency of our kitchen operations. You must have previous experience as an Executive Chef and be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. This position does not offer accommodation, so we prefer candidates with a biometric passport or those who are eligible to work in Denmark. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of food preparation and presentation according to restaurant standards
- Create innovative menu items while considering cost and ingredient availability
- Train, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation at all times
- Collaborate with management to develop new menu items or special event menus
- Adhere to budgetary guidelines set by the restaurant
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a fast-paced environment
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate kitchen staff
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Proficient in English; knowledge of Danish is a plus
- Flexibility in working hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Biometric passport or eligibility to work in Denmark
