Preservation Architect
The Preservation Architect will be responsible for preserving and protecting historical buildings and landmarks in the city of Copenhagen. This is a contract job with a salary of $1500.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historical buildings and landmarks to determine preservation needs and develop plans for maintenance and restoration
- Research the history, architecture, and materials of each building or landmark to ensure accurate preservation methods are used
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to implement preservation plans
- Monitor ongoing construction or restoration work to ensure it aligns with preservation standards
- Develop budgets and timelines for preservation projects
- Maintain records of all preservation work done on each building or landmark
- Stay updated on local laws and regulations related to historical preservation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in historic preservation or restoration projects
- Knowledge of historical architecture styles, materials, and construction techniques
- Familiarity with local laws and regulations related to historical preservation in Copenhagen
- Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage budgets effectively
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various professionals involved in the preservation process
Preference will be given to candidates who are familiar with Danish history and culture. This position does not provide accommodation.
