Head Chef
We are in search of a talented and experienced Head Chef to join our team in Os, Norway. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and plan menus that align with our restaurant's concept and target audience
- Manage food purchasing and inventory to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality
- Oversee food preparation to maintain high standards of taste, presentation, and portion control
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, food safety procedures, and sanitation standards
- Create schedules for the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation during peak hours
- Collaborate with the management team to develop new dishes and seasonal menus
- Monitor kitchen equipment and request repairs or replacements when necessary
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of cooks while maintaining a positive work environment
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices for handling ingredients
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with staff, management, and suppliers
- Creativity in developing new dishes while also keeping up with current trends in the culinary industry
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary starting at $1600 per month based on experience.
