Blast Furnace Operator

We are seeking a skilled Blast Furnace Operator to join our team in Split. As a Blast Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining blast furnaces used in the production of iron and steel. Your duties will include monitoring furnace temperature, adjusting controls to maintain proper conditions, and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a blast furnace environment and possess knowledge of metallurgy and furnace operation processes. A biometric passport is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor blast furnaces to produce iron or steel according to company specifications
- Adjust controls to maintain furnace temperature and pressure
- Observe equipment for signs of malfunctions and make necessary adjustments
- Monitor raw materials, fuel, air flow, and other factors affecting furnace operation
- Maintain records of production levels, quality control measures, and equipment maintenance
- Work with team members to troubleshoot issues and ensure efficient production processes
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in metallurgy or related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience working as a Blast Furnace Operator in an industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of metallurgy principles and blast furnace operation processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
- Good physical stamina as the role requires standing for long periods of time
- Biometric passport required

We offer competitive salary at $1300 per month, as well as opportunities for growth within the company. This is a full-time position with potential for overtime hours. Candidates must be willing to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
