Excavator Operator


We are currently hiring for an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team in Svalbard. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy equipment, such as excavators, in a safe and efficient manner. You will also be responsible for following project plans and completing tasks within set deadlines.

Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain excavators according to safety regulations and company policies
- Complete daily equipment inspections and report any issues or malfunctions
- Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors to complete tasks efficiently
- Ensure proper use of attachments and tools for various excavation projects
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure safety on site
- Complete required paperwork such as daily logs, maintenance reports, and time sheets
- Adhere to all environmental regulations while operating equipment
- Keep work area clean and organized at all times

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating excavators in a construction or similar setting
- Valid operator's license or certification for operating heavy equipment
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to heavy equipment operation
- Ability to read project plans, blueprints, and maps
- Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Good communication skills with the ability to work well with a team
- Basic understanding of mechanics for troubleshooting minor issues on site

Salary: $1700 per month without accommodation
