Radio Technician

Our company in Svalbard is seeking a skilled Radio Technician to join our team. As a Radio Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing communication equipment such as radios, transmitters, and receivers. You will also be required to troubleshoot and solve any technical issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install communication equipment, including radios, transmitters, and receivers
- Perform regular maintenance on communication equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot and repair any technical issues with communication equipment
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed on communication equipment
- Conduct tests on new equipment before installation to ensure proper functioning
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in communication technology and make recommendations for upgrades or improvements

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
- Proven experience working as a Radio Technician or in a similar role
- Knowledge of different types of communication equipment and their functions
- Familiarity with electronic testing equipment and tools used for maintenance and repairs
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Good physical stamina for working in various environments (e.g. heights, confined spaces)
- Biometric passport required

Salary: $1300 per month
