Temporary Executive Chef
Our restaurant in Svalbard is seeking a skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team on a temporary basis. As the temporary Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop menus according to seasonal availability and customer preferences
- Oversee food preparation and ensure high quality and timely service
- Manage inventory and control food costs
- Train, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen area
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or promotions
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and ingredients
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a team
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Certification from a culinary school is preferred
Salary: $1100 per week.
This is a temporary position without accommodation. The duration of the job will be determined based on business needs. Please note that transportation costs to Svalbard are not covered by the company.
