Data Mining Analyst

The Data Mining Analyst will be responsible for gathering and analyzing large data sets to identify patterns and trends. They will work closely with other members of the data team to develop strategies for collecting, organizing, and interpreting data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistics, programming, and a keen eye for detail. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex findings in a clear and concise manner. The Data Mining Analyst will also be expected to stay up-to-date with industry advancements and new techniques in data extraction and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough research to identify relevant data sources
- Cleaning, organizing, and verifying data for accuracy
- Collaborating with team members to develop data collection methods
- Utilizing statistical models and techniques to analyze large datasets
- Identifying patterns, trends, and correlations within data sets
- Communicating findings through visualizations, reports, and presentations
- Staying up-to-date with industry advancements in data mining techniques

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science or related field
- Strong proficiency in statistical software such as R or Python
- Proficiency in SQL or other database programming languages
- Experience with machine learning algorithms is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors or inconsistencies in data
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex findings in a clear manner

Salary: $1600 per month

Location: Almada (Portugal)

Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)
