Junior Information Security Analyst

As a Junior Information Security Analyst, you will work under the guidance of senior analysts to help identify and prevent potential security breaches in our company's systems and networks. You will assist in conducting security audits, implementing security measures, and monitoring for any suspicious activity. Your role will also involve staying up-to-date on the latest security threats and assisting in creating strategies to mitigate these risks.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting regular security audits of company systems and networks
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect against potential breaches
- Monitor systems for any suspicious activity or vulnerabilities
- Assist in creating and maintaining incident response plans
- Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and help develop strategies to mitigate these risks
- Work with senior analysts to investigate and resolve any reported security incidents
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Knowledge of common network protocols, operating systems, and databases
- Familiarity with information security principles and best practices
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Preferred:
- Previous experience or coursework in information security
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

Salary: $1700/month
