Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled Crane Operator to join our team in Akron. As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment on construction sites. This is a contract job with the potential for long-term employment based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate cranes according to job site safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report any defects or malfunctions
- Communicate with ground crew using hand signals or two-way radio
- Lift, move, and position heavy materials using various types of cranes such as tower cranes, mobile cranes, and overhead cranes
- Ensure proper rigging techniques are used for each lift
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations and complete necessary paperwork

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years experience operating cranes in construction or industrial settings
- Valid crane operator certification from an accredited program
- Knowledge of safe crane operation practices and rigging techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and lift plans
- Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions
