Excavator Operator



We are hiring an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team in Nakuru. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining excavators to efficiently and safely carry out excavation tasks. Your main duties will include operating the excavator to dig and move materials, conducting routine maintenance checks, and following safety protocols.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating excavators
- Valid excavator operator license
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and plans
- Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Experience working in construction or related field is preferred

Responsibilities:
- Operate the excavator according to job specifications and safety protocols
- Conduct pre-start checks on equipment before use, including fluid levels, tires, tracks, etc.
- Safely dig trenches, load trucks, move materials, and perform other excavation tasks as needed
- Monitor equipment performance and report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor
- Conduct routine maintenance on the excavator, such as oil changes and filter replacements
- Adhere to all safety procedures on site at all times
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors regarding job progress and any issues that may arise

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1800 per month.

Location:
This position is based in Nakuru. We welcome applicants from all nationalities with valid work permits for Kenya.
