Job Title: Database Administrator

We are in need of a skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team in Bergen. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our company's databases to ensure efficient and secure data storage. This role requires strong technical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve any database-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal functionality
- Implement security measures to protect sensitive data
- Identify and resolve any database-related issues, such as data corruption or server crashes
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures
- Create and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions
- Collaborate with other IT team members to design, develop, and implement new database systems or upgrades

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator
- Strong knowledge of database management systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.
- Experience with database security protocols and disaster recovery procedures
- Familiarity with programming languages such as SQL or Java is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team
