Junior Librarian

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Librarian to join our team at our library located in Dar Kulaib. As a Junior Librarian, you will assist in the day-to-day operations of the library, including organizing and cataloging materials, providing reference services to patrons, and maintaining the library’s collection. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about books and knowledge to gain hands-on experience in a library setting.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in organizing and cataloging library materials according to established systems
- Provide reference services to patrons, including assisting with research and locating materials
- Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the library space
- Assist with circulation tasks, such as checking out materials and processing returns
- Support librarians with programming and events, such as book clubs or storytimes
- Stay up-to-date on new books and resources, making recommendations for additions to the collection
- Handle basic administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls or responding to emails

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field (preferred)
- Passion for books, reading, and knowledge-sharing
- Excellent organizational skills with an attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work well with others
- Familiarity with library systems and technology (preferred)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

This full-time position offers a salary of $1400 per month. We welcome applicants without prior experience or those who are looking for their first job opportunity.
