Senior Turner in Malindi, Kenya



We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Turner to join our team in Malindi, Kenya. As a Senior Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machine tools to perform precision turning operations on metal components. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1800 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual and CNC lathes to produce parts according to engineering drawings
- Use precision measuring instruments to check dimensions of finished parts
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machines and make necessary adjustments
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Work closely with other team members to ensure efficient production processes
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations in the workshop

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Turner in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong knowledge of metalworking processes, tools, and materials
- Experience operating manual and CNC lathes
- Good understanding of geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Trade certificate or diploma in Machining or related field
- Experience working with various metals including aluminum, steel, brass, etc.
- Experience programming CNC machines
