We are seeking a highly skilled Security Analyst to join our team in Funchal, Portugal. As a Security Analyst, you will be responsible for protecting our organization's sensitive information and systems from potential threats. You will use your expertise in threat detection and prevention to identify and mitigate risks, conduct security assessments, and implement security measures. The ideal candidate will have experience in information security and a strong understanding of network architecture and protocols. This full-time position is open to both experienced professionals and students looking to gain valuable experience in the field of information security. Salary for this role starts at 1100$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular security assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities
- Monitor networks for suspicious activity and respond promptly to any security incidents
- Implement security measures such as firewalls, encryption protocols, and access controls
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the secure design and implementation of new systems
- Stay informed on the latest industry trends and advancements in information security
- Train employees on best practices for data protection and cyber hygiene
- Create reports detailing any identified risks or incidents

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- Proven experience working as an Information Security Analyst or similar role
- Strong knowledge of network architecture, protocols, and tools such as SIEMs
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus or Qualys
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GDPR or HIPAA
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CompTIA Security+
- Experience working in a cloud computing environment (AWS, Azure)
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Java
