We are seeking a qualified and passionate Librarian to join our team in Sharjah, UAE. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library collection, providing reference and research assistance to patrons, and promoting literacy and education within the community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the library collection, including selecting, purchasing, organizing, and cataloging materials.
- Provide reference and research assistance to library patrons.
- Plan and implement library programs and activities to promote literacy and education.
- Create engaging displays and exhibits to showcase library materials.
- Assist with circulation tasks such as checking books in/out, collecting fines, and registering new patrons.
- Train and supervise library staff and volunteers.
- Stay up-to-date with current trends in literature, technology, and library services.
- Collaborate with other departments or organizations to provide additional resources or services to patrons.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the library space.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting.
- Strong knowledge of different types of literature, reference materials, and research tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse group of patrons.
- Proficient in using computer systems for cataloging and managing library materials.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

This is a contract position with a salary of $1600 per month. Free visa sponsorship and round-trip ticket will be provided for candidates who meet all qualifications. We strongly encourage women to apply for this position. Fluency in English is not required for this role.
