Power Engineer - Mombasa, Kenya



As a Power Engineer in Mombasa, Kenya, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining power systems and equipment. You will work with a team to ensure the efficient and safe operation of power generation, transmission, and distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop power systems that meet project requirements
- Conduct feasibility studies and analyze data to determine optimal system design
- Perform calculations to ensure the safety and reliability of power systems
- Develop testing procedures for new equipment and perform testing as needed
- Monitor power systems for any issues or faults and troubleshoot as necessary
- Collaborate with other engineers to ensure compliance with regulations and standards
- Provide technical support to other departments as needed
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments to improve efficiency and effectiveness of power systems

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Power Engineer
- Strong knowledge of power system design principles
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar software
- Knowledge of regulations and standards related to power engineering
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Good communication skills
- Work permit/visa sponsorship available for non-Kenyan candidates

We offer:
This is a contract position with a competitive salary of $1100 per month. Accommodation, transportation, and visa sponsorship will be provided for non-Kenyan candidates.
