Executive Chef for Indian Restaurant in Nakuru

We are a highly rated Indian restaurant in Nakuru seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for creating and implementing menus, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring the quality of our dishes. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role, strong leadership skills, and a passion for Indian cuisine. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1800 per month. Accommodation will be provided for non-local candidates. Applicants must have their own valid work visa. Freshers with relevant culinary education are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement creative and authentic Indian menus
- Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Train and manage kitchen staff to maintain high-quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new menu items and promotions
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Executive Chef in an Indian restaurant or hotel setting
- Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine and cooking techniques
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality dishes on time
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Familiarity with food cost analysis and inventory management
- Must have own valid work visa (sponsorship not provided)
- Culinary degree or diploma preferred but not required
