Entry-Level Phlebotomist in Al-Khor


We are in search of a passionate and dedicated Entry-Level Phlebotomist to join our team in Al-Khor. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients for medical testing, transfusions, donations, or research purposes. You will also be responsible for organizing and labeling collected samples and properly disposing of used needles.

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is detail-oriented, has excellent communication skills, and is comfortable working with all types of patients. Previous experience or education in phlebotomy is not required as we will provide on-the-job training. However, a certification in phlebotomy or a related field would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and explain the blood drawing process to them
- Prepare the necessary equipment and supplies for blood collection
- Identify the correct veins to draw blood from based on patient's age, health status, and specimen requirements
- Perform venipuncture or fingerstick according to established protocols
- Label and organize collected samples for testing or storage
- Monitor patients' vital signs before, during, and after blood collection
- Properly dispose of used needles and other sharps
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in phlebotomy preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills; able to interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to follow protocols and maintain accuracy while performing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Comfortable working with blood; able to handle potentially stressful situations calmly
- Basic computer skills; able to enter patient information accurately into electronic systems
