Technical Support Specialist
As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to customers who are experiencing issues with their computer systems or software. This role will require you to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, while also providing excellent customer service. You will work closely with customers to identify and diagnose issues, as well as provide step-by-step instructions on how to fix them. Additionally, you will document all support interactions and escalate more complex issues to senior technicians or engineers.
To excel in this role, you should have a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills. You must be able to communicate effectively with customers of varying technical abilities and have a strong customer service orientation. A degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred, along with at least 2 years of experience in a technical support role. Previous experience working with biometric passports is a plus.
This is a full-time position located in Atlanta, with a salary of $1100 per month. As this job does not include accommodation, candidates must already be based in Atlanta or willing to relocate at their own expense. Women and Indian nationals are encouraged to apply for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance and support to customers via phone, email, or chat
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues
- Document all support interactions and resolutions accurately
- Escalate complex issues to senior technicians or engineers
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products and services
- Communicate effectively with customers of varying technical abilities
- Follow up with customers to ensure issue resolution
- Provide excellent customer service at all times
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a technical support role
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and networking concepts
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers of varying technical abilities
- Strong customer service orientation
- Familiarity with biometric passports is a plus
- Must be able to work full-time in Atlanta without accommodation
