Long Haul Truck Driver
As a long haul truck driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across long distances, often crossing borders between Canada and the United States. You will be driving large commercial trucks, carrying heavy loads and adhering to strict safety regulations. This is a physically demanding role that requires long hours on the road.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and drive trucks to transport goods and materials to various locations, following all traffic laws and safety standards
- Perform pre-trip inspections of the truck, including checking tires, brakes, fuel levels, and other essential components
- Plan routes based on delivery schedules and road conditions
- Load and unload goods using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts
- Keep accurate records of cargo delivery and mileage
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers using electronic devices such as GPS or two-way radios

Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 commercial driver's license (CDL) with air brake endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a long haul truck driver
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good driving record with no major violations in the past 5 years
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) is an asset
