Chef de Cuisine
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Cuisine to join our team at a upscale restaurant in Lusail. Our ideal candidate is passionate about creating high-quality dishes and has a strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and ingredients. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, as they will be responsible for managing the kitchen staff and ensuring a smooth operation. Responsibilities:
- Create innovative and high-quality dishes that meet the restaurant's standards
- Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation
- Develop new menu items based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Maintain inventory levels of food supplies and equipment, ordering as needed
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other restaurant departments to ensure smooth service flow
- Communicate regularly with management regarding kitchen operations, staffing needs, and any issues or concerns
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or similar role in an upscale restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles
- Ability to manage kitchen staff effectively with excellent leadership skills
- Creativity in developing new menu items while also maintaining consistency with established dishes
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with other departments
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Education/Experience:
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a chef in upscale restaurants
- Prior experience managing kitchen staff
- Knowledge of Indian cuisine preferred
Salary: $1300/month (negotiable based on experience)
