Pastry Chef
Location: Shan, Myanmar
Our luxury hotel in Shan, Myanmar is seeking a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing delicious and visually appealing desserts and pastries for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and present high-quality pastries and desserts according to guest preferences and hotel standards
- Create new and innovative pastry recipes while also maintaining traditional favorites
- Manage inventory and ordering of pastry supplies to ensure freshness and availability
- Train, mentor, and supervise pastry cooks in proper techniques, recipes, and food safety standards
- Collaborate with other chefs to create dessert menus that complement the overall dining experience
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment
- Continuously research current trends in pastry making to keep our menu offerings fresh and exciting
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment
- Extensive knowledge of various pastry techniques, ingredients, tools, and equipment
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop new recipes while also maintaining classic ones
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, mentor, and supervise a team of pastry cooks
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
- Fluent English communication skills
Salary: $1300 per month plus accommodation.
