Executive Chef
Our restaurant in Washington is seeking a skilled and creative Executive Chef to join our team. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations and ensuring high-quality food is consistently served to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively. Responsibilities:
- Manage daily kitchen activities, including menu planning, food preparation, and cooking.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food production.
- Create new dishes and menus that cater to our customers' preferences while maintaining our restaurant's standards.
- Maintain inventory levels and monitor food costs to ensure profitability.
- Ensure all safety and sanitation standards are followed in the kitchen.
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, staffing, and scheduling.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in English with good communication skills.
Salary: $1100 per month
Preference will be given to Kenyans or other foreigners with biometric passports who are fluent in English. Accommodation will not be provided for this position. Experience is not required but preferred.
