Executive Chef - Portuguese Cuisine


Are you a passionate and experienced chef with a love for Portuguese cuisine? Look no further, as our luxury restaurant in Lisbon is seeking an Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. As the Executive Chef, you will oversee all aspects of our kitchen operations, including menu development, food preparation, and staff management. You must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role and extensive knowledge of traditional Portuguese dishes. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1500$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Create and develop menus that showcase authentic Portuguese flavors while also incorporating modern techniques
- Train and manage kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food production and efficient service
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain stock levels
- Oversee food preparation and cooking, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards
- Maintain sanitation standards in the kitchen and ensure compliance with all safety regulations
- Collaborate with restaurant management to plan special events or promotions featuring Portuguese cuisine

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a fine dining establishment
- Extensive knowledge of traditional Portuguese cuisine and ingredients
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to create new dishes while also maintaining high-quality standards
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Fluent in English (Portuguese language skills preferred)
