Head Chef - Fine Dining Restaurant (Indian Cuisine) in Eldoret, Kenya


We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our Indian fine dining restaurant located in Eldoret, Kenya. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented chef to showcase their skills and creativity while working in a vibrant and diverse city.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience working as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in high-end restaurants, preferably with a focus on Indian cuisine. They should possess strong leadership skills and be able to manage and motivate a team of kitchen staff. An understanding of food costs, budgeting, and menu development is also essential.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the kitchen
- Create new menu items and maintain high-quality standards
- Train and supervise kitchen staff
- Manage inventory and control food costs
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team on business strategies

Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a fine dining restaurant
- Extensive knowledge of Indian cuisine and cooking techniques
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Experience with budgeting, food costing, and menu development
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other team members
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts is preferred but not required

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position with a salary of 1500$ per month. Accommodation will not be provided, but assistance may be given in finding suitable housing. Applicants must have their own valid visa for Kenya.
