Foundry Supervisor



We are seeking an experienced Foundry Supervisor to join our team in Bungoma. As a Foundry Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process of casting metal parts and ensuring that quality standards are met. This is a contract job with a salary of 1800$. As this position does not offer accommodation, preference will be given to candidates with biometric passports and who are able to secure their own housing.

Responsibilities:

- Supervise and coordinate the activities of foundry workers, including molders, coremakers, and melters
- Ensure that production targets are met while maintaining high quality standards
- Monitor and maintain the safety of all workers in the foundry
- Train new employees on proper techniques and procedures for casting metal parts
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the production process
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures
- Maintain inventory levels of raw materials used in the foundry

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a Foundry Supervisor or similar role
- Knowledge of various casting processes such as sand casting, investment casting, and die-casting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Good communication skills in English to effectively communicate with team members from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to read blueprints and understand technical drawings for casting purposes
- Physically fit and able to work in a hot environment while wearing protective gear
