Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team in Eldoret, Kenya. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for books and information to work in a dynamic and diverse environment.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the library, including cataloging, shelving, circulation, and reference services.
- Develop and maintain the library's collection by selecting and purchasing new materials.
- Create engaging displays and programs to promote reading and literacy among patrons.
- Provide assistance to library users in finding materials, using technology resources, and conducting research.
- Plan and conduct library events such as book clubs, storytimes, and author visits.
- Train and supervise volunteers or staff members who assist with library duties.
- Maintain accurate records of library transactions and prepare reports as needed.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
- Previous experience working in a library or similar setting preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to work well with diverse populations.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1200$ per month for this full-time position.

Location:

Contract Type:
This is a contract job for an initial period of one year with the possibility of extension based on performance.
