Excavator Operator


We are currently seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team in Nairobi. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to excavate, move, and grade earth and other materials. The ideal candidate should have previous experience operating excavators and possess a valid operator's license.

Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment, specifically excavators, to move earth and materials according to project specifications
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and report any issues or malfunctions
- Ensure safe operation of the equipment at all times
- Follow project plans and blueprints to determine the location of structures and utilities
- Dig trenches, level surfaces, and compact earth to prepare for construction projects
- Collaborate with ground crew and other workers to complete projects efficiently
- Maintain a clean work area and ensure proper storage of equipment when not in use

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education required
- Valid operator's license for heavy equipment such as excavators
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating excavators in a construction environment
- Good hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity
- Ability to read blueprints and follow project plans accurately
- Familiarity with safety procedures and ability to adhere to them at all times

Salary:
1500$ per month
