Instrument Technician
As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of instruments used in industrial settings. This includes but is not limited to sensors, transmitters, controllers, and other electronic devices. You will work with a variety of tools and equipment to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with instrumentation systems, as well as calibrate and test instruments to ensure accurate readings. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair various types of industrial instruments
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with instrumentation systems
- Calibrate and test instruments to ensure accurate readings
- Use a variety of tools and equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and hand tools
- Read technical diagrams and manuals to understand the operation of different instruments
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to coordinate maintenance schedules
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance activities and report any malfunctions or damages
- Follow safety protocols at all times while working on equipment
- Stay updated on new technologies in the field of instrumentation
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Instrument Technician or similar role
- Knowledge of electrical circuits and electronic components
- Familiarity with industrial instrumentation systems such as pressure, flow, temperature, level sensors
- Ability to read technical diagrams and manuals
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks for extended periods of time
Preferred:
- Diploma or certification in Instrumentation Technology or a related field
- Experience working in an industrial setting
- Knowledge of PLC programming
