IT Support Specialist


As an IT Support Specialist, you will provide technical support and assistance to computer users in Wiltz. You will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing and configuring computer systems, and maintaining network and system security. Your main goal is to ensure the smooth operation of computer systems to enable efficient and effective use of technology by our company's employees.

Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network related issues
- Install and configure computer systems, including operating systems, applications, and drivers
- Troubleshoot system errors and perform maintenance tasks such as backups and updates
- Maintain network security by monitoring system activity, implementing security measures, and conducting regular audits
- Respond to user inquiries and provide guidance on the proper use of technology
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical problems
- Keep track of inventory levels for equipment and order new supplies when necessary
- Update documentation related to system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and user guides

Requirements:
- Proven work experience as an IT Support Specialist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, operating systems (Windows & Mac), networking technologies (TCP/IP), and software applications (Microsoft Office)
- Familiarity with remote desktop applications such as TeamViewer or AnyDesk
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team
- A degree in Computer Science or relevant field is preferred but not required
