Librarian for Indian Community Library in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

We are in search of a qualified and experienced Librarian to manage our Indian community library in Jeddah. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for overseeing all library operations, including managing the collection, assisting patrons with research and reference services, and organizing events and programs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the library's collection by cataloging, shelving, and maintaining inventory
- Assist patrons with research and reference services, including helping them locate materials and answering questions
- Plan and organize events and programs for the community, such as book clubs or workshops
- Maintain the library's budget and purchase new materials as needed
- Train and supervise any additional staff or volunteers
- Ensure that the library is clean, organized, and welcoming to all patrons
- Stay current on industry trends and technology to enhance the library's services

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Fluency in English is preferred but not required; knowledge of Hindi or other Indian languages is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a diverse community

Salary: We offer a competitive salary of 1000$ per month.

Location: This position is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Preference will be given to candidates who are already located in Jeddah or willing to relocate.
