Formworker



As a formworker, you will be responsible for building and setting up temporary structures used to hold concrete in place during construction. This position requires physical strength and the ability to work in various weather conditions. You will work closely with other construction professionals and follow specific plans and blueprints to ensure accuracy and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
- Build, assemble, and erect formwork for concrete structures according to project specifications
- Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and fasten materials
- Pour, spread, and smooth concrete into formwork molds
- Install reinforcing bars or mesh in concrete forms
- Verify all measurements and angles are accurate using levels, rulers, plumb bobs, or surveying equipment
- Remove forms after concrete has dried properly
- Inspect completed structures for defects or issues that may require repair
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations on job sites

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in formwork carpentry is a plus
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a formworker or carpenter in the construction industry
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and follow detailed instructions
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights
- Familiarity with hand and power tools used in carpentry work
- Knowledge of basic math skills for measuring materials accurately
- Strong attention to detail with good problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1800 per month.
