Indian Pastry Chef in Washington
We are seeking an experienced Indian Pastry Chef to join our team in Washington. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing high-quality desserts and pastries that showcase the unique flavors and techniques of Indian cuisine. You will work closely with our head chef to develop new and innovative dessert menu items while also ensuring the consistency and quality of our current offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new and creative dessert menu items that showcase the flavors of Indian cuisine
- Prepare and bake a variety of desserts, including traditional Indian sweets, cakes, breads, and pastries
- Ensure the quality, consistency, and presentation of all desserts
- Collaborate with the head chef to plan menus and create new dessert offerings
- Train and supervise other pastry staff members
- Maintain inventory and order necessary ingredients and supplies
- Adhere to all food safety regulations
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef, preferably in an Indian restaurant or bakery
- Extensive knowledge of Indian desserts, baking techniques, and ingredients
- Ability to create new dessert recipes while also executing traditional recipes accurately
- Strong leadership skills with experience in training and supervising staff
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must have excellent communication skills in English
Salary:
The salary for this position is $1000 per week.
