Executive Chef at a Nepali Restaurant in Acre, Israel
We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at a Nepali restaurant in Acre, Israel. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for Nepali cuisine, strong leadership skills, and the ability to create unique and delicious dishes that will delight our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and create menus that showcase authentic Nepali flavors and ingredients
- Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Oversee food preparation and ensure consistent quality and presentation of all dishes
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain food safety standards and ensure compliance with health codes
- Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and specials
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate them into menu planning
- Manage food costs and work within budget constraints
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef, preferably in a Nepali restaurant or with experience cooking Nepali cuisine
- Knowledge of traditional Nepali spices, herbs, cooking techniques, and flavor profiles
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff
- Excellent organization and time-management abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of food cost control measures
- Fluent in English (Nepali language skills are a plus)
- Must be willing to relocate to Acre, Israel
