Typesetter for Contract Position in Washington, USA


We are seeking an experienced Typesetter to join our team for a contract position in Washington, USA. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for setting and arranging text and images to create visually appealing and easy-to-read documents. This position requires someone with excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:
- Utilize specialized software to format text and images for various documents such as books, magazines, and advertisements
- Collaborate with writers, editors, and designers to ensure that the layout meets the project requirements
- Proofread final layouts to detect any errors or inconsistencies
- Make necessary adjustments to ensure the document is visually appealing and easy-to-read
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a typesetter or in a similar role
- Proficient in using typesetting software such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress
- Strong understanding of typography, layout design, and color theory
- Excellent attention to detail with strong proofreading skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently under tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members
