Executive Chef - International Cuisine
Our upscale restaurant in Sofia, Bulgaria is seeking a skilled Executive Chef with a passion for international cuisine. As the head of our kitchen, you will be responsible for creating and executing menus featuring a variety of global flavors and techniques. You must have at least 5 years of experience working as a chef in high-end restaurants, preferably with exposure to diverse culinary traditions. A degree from a culinary institute is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and update menus that showcase international dishes, incorporating local ingredients when possible
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, including portion sizes, presentation, and quality control
- Train and manage kitchen staff to ensure consistency in food quality and adherence to safety standards
- Collaborate with other departments such as purchasing and finance to manage inventory levels and control costs
- Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to continuously improve menu offerings
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or senior role in a high-end restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of global cuisine, including cooking techniques and flavor profiles
- Ability to manage a team while maintaining a positive work environment
- Excellent communication skills in English (Bulgarian language skills are a plus)
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
Salary: $1300/month
Location: Sofia, Bulgaria (international candidates must have valid work permit)
