We are hiring an experienced and skilled Equipment Operator to join our team in Clairvaux. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of heavy machinery, such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and backhoes. Your main duty will be to safely and efficiently maneuver the equipment to complete tasks such as moving earth, lifting heavy materials, and clearing debris. Our ideal candidate should have prior experience in operating heavy equipment, a valid driver's license, and a strong knowledge of safety regulations. This physically demanding job requires someone who is physically fit and can work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy machinery such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and backhoes
- Conduct pre-operation checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition
- Maneuver equipment safely while following all safety regulations
- Complete tasks such as digging trenches, moving earth, lifting heavy materials, and clearing debris
- Monitor gauges and controls to ensure proper operation of equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed
- Report any malfunctions or issues with equipment to the supervisor immediately
- Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferably vocational training)
- Minimum of 2 years' experience operating heavy machinery
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to operating heavy equipment
- Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions

Preferred Skills:
While not required, the following skills would be considered an asset for this position:
- Experience with GPS technology for precision grading
- Knowledge of basic mechanics for troubleshooting minor issues
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans
- Bilingual in English and French
