Head Baker - Nairobi, Kenya


We are seeking an experienced Head Baker to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. As the Head Baker, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our bakery operations, including creating and executing new recipes, managing inventory and ordering supplies, and supervising a team of bakers. This is a contract position with a competitive salary of 1500$ per month, with accommodation provided.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute new recipes for our bakery products
- Manage inventory and orders for supplies to ensure adequate stock levels
- Supervise and train a team of bakers on proper techniques and procedures
- Maintain high quality standards for all bakery products
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment
- Collaborate with other departments to develop new products or promotions
- Monitor sales and make adjustments to production as needed

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Baker or similar role in a bakery setting
- Excellent knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and recipes
- Ability to create and execute new recipes that meet customer demands
- Strong leadership skills and ability to supervise a team effectively
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and ability to maintain cleanliness standards in the bakery
- Good communication skills in English
