Industrial Alpinist
An industrial alpinist is a professional who specializes in performing construction and maintenance tasks at great heights or in hard-to-reach locations. They use advanced rope access techniques and specialized equipment to safely navigate and work in these challenging environments. Responsibilities:
- Perform construction and maintenance tasks at great heights or in hard-to-reach locations using rope access techniques
- Inspect and assess work sites for potential hazards and develop safety plans
- Set up and maintain ropes, anchors, and other equipment for safe access
- Use specialized tools and equipment to complete tasks such as painting, cleaning, welding, or repairs
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Document completed work accurately for reporting purposes
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries
Requirements:
- Must be physically fit and comfortable working at heights
- Knowledge of rope access techniques and equipment is required
- Previous experience in industrial alpinism or similar field is preferred but not required
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work well in a team environment
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Willingness to travel to different job sites as needed
Salary: $1100 per month
Location: Akron, USA (Preference for Kenyan nationals)
