Seamstress/ Tailor

As a Seamstress/Tailor, you will be responsible for creating high-quality garments according to customer specifications. Your primary duties will include taking measurements, cutting fabric, sewing and fitting garments, and making any necessary alterations. You must have excellent attention to detail and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Seamstress or Tailor
- Ability to use industrial sewing machines and other tools
- Proficient in pattern making and garment construction
- Excellent understanding of different fabrics and their properties
- Ability to take accurate measurements and make precise alterations
- Strong time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers

Responsibilities:
- Meet with customers to discuss garment specifications and take measurements.
- Use appropriate patterns or create your own based on customer requests.
- Cut fabric according to patterns.
- Sew garments using industrial machines or hand-sewing techniques.
- Make any necessary alterations for the perfect fit.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate effectively with customers throughout the process.

Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional training in sewing, pattern making or fashion design is preferred.

Work Environment:
As a Seamstress/Tailor, you will primarily work in a fast-paced production setting. You may also interact with customers at times. The position requires standing for long periods of time and may involve lifting heavy fabrics or equipment.

Compensation:
The starting salary for this position is 1700$ per month. Bonuses may be awarded based on performance.
