Heavy Equipment Operator in Wiltz, Kenya


We are in need of a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Wiltz, Kenya. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and cranes. Your main duties will include maneuvering equipment to complete assigned tasks, performing routine maintenance checks on equipment, and adhering to all safety protocols.

To be successful in this role, you must have prior experience operating heavy equipment and possess a valid driver's license. Familiarity with different types of heavy equipment and their functions is also necessary. The ideal candidate should have excellent hand-eye coordination, physical strength, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently according to job site requirements
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project completion
- Report any malfunctions or damages to the supervisor immediately
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 2 years' experience operating heavy equipment
- Familiarity with different types of heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, etc.
- Physical strength and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
