Pastry Chef
We are a high-end bakery and patisserie in Atlanta, seeking a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing a variety of delicious pastries, desserts, and baked goods. You must have a passion for pastry making and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and create new pastry recipes that align with our brand's vision.
- Prepare and bake pastries, desserts, and other baked goods according to recipes.
- Decorate pastries using different techniques such as piping, glazing, and fondant work.
- Manage inventory and order supplies when needed.
- Ensure all food safety regulations are followed.
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs or assistants.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan menus for special events or seasonal offerings.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen.
- Knowledge of different baking techniques, ingredients, flavors, and decorations.
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and creativity in recipe development.
- Excellent leadership skills and ability to work well with others.
- Food safety certification is a plus.
Salary: $1100 per month
