Excavator Operator



Our construction company is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team in Mombasa. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to excavate, move, and grade earth, rock, gravel or other materials. This position requires a skilled individual who can safely and efficiently operate the excavator to assist in various construction projects.

Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain excavators according to safety regulations and procedures
- Use hand signals and/or radio communication to direct other workers
- Safely maneuver the excavator around obstacles, underground utilities and other objects on the job site
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning
- Work with ground crew to ensure accuracy of excavation work
- Follow project plans and specifications to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
- Keep track of materials used and report any issues or concerns to superiors

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating excavators in a construction setting
- Valid operator's license and certification preferred but not required
- Ability to read blueprints and follow project plans
- Strong understanding of construction safety protocols
- Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Good hand-eye coordination and depth perception

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1700 per month along with opportunities for growth within our company.

Location:
This position is based in Mombasa. Preference will be given to Indian or Malayalee candidates but all nationalities are welcome to apply.
