Dishwasher - Indian Cuisine (Full Time)


Our busy Indian restaurant in Bungoma is seeking a diligent and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team. As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1200$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Wash, sanitize, and dry all dishes, cutlery, pots, and pans using dishwashing equipment or by hand
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing area
- Empty trash bins regularly and keep kitchen floors clean and dry
- Assist with basic food prep when needed
- Follow proper sanitation and food safety procedures at all times
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience as a dishwasher in a restaurant setting is preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (up to 30lbs)
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Indian cuisine is an asset but not required
- Fluent in English with good communication skills
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to take direction from superiors and work well in a team environment
